Air Race Course

Course Description
1. Enter the course from right to left through gate #1. The aircraft must pass through the gate in Knife Edge with the canopy facing the runway and the pilot. The aircraft then must roll and pull (positive) and head to gate number 2.
2. The aircraft must pass through gate number 2 (height critical), perform 1/2 of a Cuban 8 with 1/2 roll and head to pylon #3.
3. Pylon #3 must have a right hand turn (not height critical, but must break the vertical plane of the pylon), and head for pylon #4. Between pylon’s 3 & 4, the plane must perform 2 rolls (either direction).
4. The aircraft must make a left hand turn around pylon #4 and head to gate #5. On the way to gate #5, the aircraft performs (1) positive loop. The aircraft then passes through gate 5, turns left and heads to pylon 3.
5. The aircraft makes a left hand turn around pylon #3, and heads to the finish line (gate #1). The plane must pass through gate #1 in Knife Edge (canopy facing the runway) as in the start. At that point your first run is complete.
6. The plane is now “off the clock”, and turns 180 degrees to start the second run. The combined times of both runs will be the time for the flight.
Deductions:
Missed gate or pylon
Missed aerobatic maneuver
