Team Futaba takes 1st and 3rd at F3A Pattern Nats!

Congratulations to Team Futaba pilots Jason Shulman and Andrew Jesky, for winning first and third place honors at this year's F3A Nats! Their achievements automatically qualify them to compete in Sante Fe, Argentina this November, at the F3A World Championships! Adding in alternate Sean McMurty means that three of the top four qualifiers for Team USA are also members of Team Futaba.

Congratulations and a job well done to these team members, as well: Glen Watson and Archie Stafford, for their first and second place finishes in the Masters Class at the AMA Nats, and Chad Northeast and Dezso Vaghy, for taking the top two spots at the Canadian F3A Team Trials!

Erickson Places First in the Visalia Bent Wing

Team Futaba pilot, John Erickson took first place in the 2007 Visalia Bent Wing Contest.
Erickson beat 22 other pilots in the Woody class to take home the award.

April 13 -14, Toledo, OH

ETOC has quickly gained a reputation as one of the hobby's greatest indoor electric contests. Over two dozen of the world's top pilots earned invitations to the 4th annual event, held April 13-14 in Toledo, Ohio.

On the first night, competitors flew two rounds of specific maneuvers plus one freestyle. Judges then narrowed the field to ten finalists – a short list that included three Team Futaba pilots.

The top ten battled for even bigger honors the next night. More elimination rounds cut the field to three. Team Futaba pilot, John Glezellis was among them…and after one final freestyle round, he stood alone as the 2007 ETOC champion!

Congratulations to John for his impressive achievement. The results speak for themselves: Futaba is the name you can count on for winning performance!

Land O Lakes, FL - April 21st - 22nd

Team Futaba pilot Stephen Hamilton was Grand Champion of the IMAC Spring Classic in Land O Lakes, Florida. Stephen placed 2nd in the Unlimited Class and 1st in the Freestyle Class to take home the honor of overall Grand Champion. Team Futaba pilot Jim Woodward took home first place in the Advanced Class.

Wittman, Arizona - January 20th & 21st, 2007

Team Futaba pilots Gary Schmidt and Jim Allen took first and second place in the Winterfest Q500 Pylon Race. There were 60 competitors in the event that was held by the Speedworld R/C Flyers Club.
