Radio System FAQ
How do I set up a heading hold gyro in a heli model? How about acro/glider models?
Heli: To adjust gyro gain, set up the gyro function.
| ___ 1. | Open the advanced menu (press mode key) and select GYRO SENS (Dial GYRO is highlighted and press Dial to select.) |
| ___ 2. | Make it active. (Cursor up to mix and Dial left to ACT). |
| ___ 3. | Set your Heading hold percentage. (cursor down to Rate Up, then Dial until desired percent. We start at approximately 80%,—set your own desired percentage based on your setup. This setting will go from 0-100%. (Remember on a heading hold/AVCS gyro, one side of the ATV (0-50) is standard mode; the other half (51-100) is AVCS mode. 50 is null or no gyro response whatsoever. |
| ___ 4. | Cursor down and set the normal mode percentage. We usually start at about 30%. |
| ___ 5. | Set the desired switch. (Cursor Down and turn Dial to desired switch.) |
For Glider/Acro models: Since these model types do not have gyro programming, use the EPA settings to adjust your heading hold and normal mode settings, and the Aux-Channel assignment to change switch assignment, if desired.
