Radio System FAQ
I want to use twin aileron servos (flaperons) with a 5 channel receiver, so my second servo must be plugged into channel 5 not channel 6. How do I do that?
This will require 2 steps.
- First you must go into parameters and tell it to look for your second aileron servo to be on channel 5/6 rather than 6 or 7, which is the normal place for the programming to look:
| a. | Press the Mode Key (twice if needed) to open the Basic Menu |
| b. | Dial to Parameters and Press Dial |
| c. | Cursor Down to AIL-2 |
| d. | Dial Left to CH5&6 |
| e. | Press End twice to close |
- Now you need to actually go activate flaperons.
| a. | Press the Mode Key Twice to open Advance Menu |
| b. | Dial left to Flaperon and Press Dial to select |
| c. | Make the function active by Cursor Up once to Mix and Dial Left to ACT |
| d. | Adjust aileron rates to create differential if desired |
| e. | Adjust flap rates to decrease total flap travel of ailerons as flaperons if desired |
| f. | Press End twice to close |
- Add flap trim capability (making the channel 6 knob operate your flaps for easy in flight adjustments) if desired.
NOTE: if you want to operate your flaperons as flaps on a separate switch, simply use the airbrake feature, or an offset mix.
