Radio System FAQ

How can I set up a twin which uses rudder-to-throttle mixing to have throttle aid water steering and slow speed steering? The rudder-to-throttle mixing should not function when above 1/2 throttle. I also want to have one engine only options on throttle.
"I have a spare channel on my 8-ch receiver, or am using a 7-ch receiver" (so channel 8 can be used to set-up the mixes). If you do not have 8 channels available you must choose between the rudder-to-throttle or the independent throttle controls as not enough mixes are available to do both.
Servo Set-up:channel 7 = left throttlechannel 8 = right throttle
Mix throttle to channel 7 100% and throttle 3 to channel 8 100%. This will operate the throttles from the throttle stick. Nothing is plugged into channel 1.Goto PMIX1, make it active, channel 3 primary, channel 7secondary, +100% on full throttle, +100 on idle, trim on, link off, no offset, active switch C up/ctr

Goto PMIX2, make it active, channel 3 primary, channel 8 secondary, +100% on full throttle, +100 on idle, trim on, linkoff, no offset, active switch C ctr/dwn
Mix rudder to channel 7 on right rudder application only, causing channel 7 to increase proportional to the rudder input. Active only with throttle stick below 1/2.

Do the same for left rudder with channel 8. Active only with throttle stick below 1/2.
Go to PMIX3, make it active, rudder primary, channel 7 secondary, while holding right rudder input press + until get the amount of desired engine throttle up. Leave the left input at 0. Link off, trim on, offset 0, command is STK3. Move throttle to 1/2 stick position and set the % by pressing the 2 set keys together. Press - to get it active below 1/2 stick.
Go to PMIX4, make it active, rudder primary, channel 7 secondary, hold left rudder and set the %, leave right input 0. Link off, trim on, offset 0, STK#, set % and -.
NOTE: you can only turn off one of the 2 channel knobs (channel 7 or channel 8) because you have just one free mix left. (See our FAQ for instruction on how to use a PMIX to turn off a knob.) If you want to turn off both knobs, you'll need to give up the switch set up described above so the engines are both on full command at all times. In that case, put one throttle in throttle and the other in channel 7 and do a single pmix, throttle to channel 7, +100.
