3PJ/3PJS Radio FAQ

How do I set up my 3PJS to operate the reverse or second gear on my monster truck, or other function?

To activate CH3 on the SLD or PSH switch:

  1. Press both the Set-Up keys
  2. Press the UP key (top center) 9 times to the PSH/SLD/CTM screen.
  3. Choose which position you want you CH3 on PSH/SLD/CTM
  4. Select using the + or - key (outer top and bottom key)
  5. Once selected CH3 is on that switch. You can now change the percentage that it operates at through the ATV function

Can you give me radio/car/driving/set up tips to run my X car under XX conditions?

Unfortunately, no. We do not have this type of information available as it will vary drastically based upon the model and condition of your car, your track conditions, driving style, fuels used, etc.

What is the difference between the 3PJS and the 3PJFS?

The 3PJS and the 3PJFS are identical except the 3PJS includes a PCM receiver and one servo, while the 3PJFS includes an FM receiver and no servos.

How do I adjust the amount of "steps" that my Dual Rate percentage moves when I try to adjust it with the dial? The factory setting is 5% and I would like to make it move only 1% with each click of the dial.

It is easy to adjust the steps of all the functions, such as the Throttle and Steering Dual Rates, Traction control, Third channel, ATL, etc.

Just turn the transmitter on, press both Setup buttons at the same time, then using the top middle button (Up), you will keep pressing this until you get to the ST TS screen, here the word STEP should be flashing in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Next, you will press the lower left-hand button (Select) until you see D/R S, this is the steering dual rate screen. At this screen you will just need to press the plus or minus key to either increase or decrease the amount of percentage that the dual rates move when you turn the Dual Rate dial.
